Lindsey Rosenthal
Regional Impact Manager - Great Lakes
Lindsey knew from a young age she wanted to be in hospitality. Between taking orders from her family off of handwritten menus, to working as a pastry chef for an early Take Your Child to Work Day, she found her calling. She began her employment in restaurants as soon as she could get a permit, working for four years as a hostess, and later as a server.
While receiving her Bachelor's degree from Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration, and then for several years thereafter, Lindsey worked for nationally-recognized brands and learned about world cultural practices, public relations, communications, and began her career in events. She returned to school and earned her Master's degree in event management and philanthropy from The George Washington University in 2009. That same year she founded Events For Good, a social enterprise devoted to creating unique and memorable event experiences while helping nonprofits more effectively raise money. Lindsey has been recognized as an authority in the event and nonprofit sectors, featured as an expert in industry publications, taught event management to undergraduate students, and spoken both across the country and internationally on fundraising, sponsorship, corporate social responsibility, strategic planning, and best practices in nonprofit events. Her passion and commitment to social good makes an impression on everyone she meets.
As Regional Impact Manager, Lindsey is dedicated to building a strong community for food service workers across the Great Lakes region and strengthening Giving Kitchen's relationships with partners, friends, and our generous donors.
Having lived in Chicago for more than a decade and ever since she first flew over Lake Michigan in 2005, Lindsey has developed a deep and everlasting love for the Windy City and the Midwest. When not working, Lindsey spends her time walking the 606 with her dog Fozzie, baking cakes for her niece and nephews, taking in baseball games, and visiting as many of the world's impressive hotels as she can.
